The cattery began officially on April 17th 1990: it was then recognized by F.F.I. and by F.I.Fe. under the name "Il Carro di Freya". Its history though begins in 1989, when two cats founders of the family were imported ; they were Pinocchio von Jotunheimen (silver tabby male) and Torv Hede's Ditmara (black tabby female), who in December of the same year gave birth to their first wonderful kittens.

At present in the cattery all the varieties of original colours are available, both in tabby and solid variants, diluted colours included. Kittens are bred at home with lots of love and care, and they are selected with particular attention given to quality, lovely temper and big size. They are vaccinated and provided with A.N.F.I. and F.I.Fe. pedigrees, and they are given out exclusively to responsible people, willing to give them a permanent home and all the love and care they need.
